Kentucky Emergency Management is the state level agency charged with protecting life and property, public peace, health, safety and the environment of the Commonwealth of Kentucky through an all–hazards approach to mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from disasters and emergencies which a local emergency response agency determines is beyond its capabilities.
