The project represents a future concept/feasibility study and subsequent deployment of an Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) system in the Lexington metropolitan area. The vision of this project is that transportation networks will realize significant improvements in the efficient movement of people and goods through institutional collaboration and proactive integration of existing infrastructure along major corridors. The ICM system will enable the Lexington TMC to manage the corridor as a multimodal system and make operational decisions for the benefit of the corridor as a whole.
