Call for Projects Using 2025 Sub-allocated Funding
Review the following information about funding, important dates, eligibility and more. Then submit an application.
💰FUNDING – Estimated funding available is based on sub-allocations identified within the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) plus any unexpended dollars. Subtracted from these amounts are outstanding obligations for which funds have not yet been expended. This amount is further reduced by 20% the amount available by 20% to provide a contingency for cost increase. Below are the calculations for available funding for the 2025 call for projects:
Funding Source | Estimated Allocations | Outstanding Obligations | 20% Contingency | Funding Available |
---|---|---|---|---|
SLX | $43.4M | $25.2M | $3.6 | $14.6M |
TAP | $7.6M | $1.1M | $1.3 | $5.2M |
CRP* | $6.4M | $0.8M | $1.2 | $4.4M |

🔎EMPHASIS AREAS – One of the scoring criteria for sub-allocated funding applications is if the project addresses one or more MPO emphasis areas. The 2025 Call for Projects will only have one funding emphasis area; new or final design phases for the following scopes of work:
Construction of bicycle or pedestrian facilities
Establishment of new transit services
Purchase of transit vehicles
Retrofit of existing arterials or collectors to implement complete streets designs
Construction of projects identified in a safety action plan which meets the requirements of the Safe Streets and Roads for All program
Only projects which address the design phase for one of these scopes of work will receive the full 15 points for this scoring category. Applications which are for any other phase of work or have a scope of work outside one of the above categories will not receive any points for this category, but remain eligible for consideration. That is as long as the project is identified within the 2050 Lexington Area Metropolitan Transportation Plan and federal eligibility requirements are met.
